In Conclusion

I think we've decided that being able to study the Word and spend time in prayer with every free moment would not be a bad thing.  Understood.  Neglecting your responsibilities is not ok to do said studying.  Got it.  Bringing in family members to add to the worship experience and disciple and learn together is even better.  OK.  So, I guess we've solved all the world's problems.  What's next?

It's snowing again!  I feel like I'm in Peoria!  I mean, it even "feels like" 5 outside!  Our heat hasn't kicked off for hours!  Yes!  Peoria it is!  Dusty got to come home an hour and a half early from work today because the roads were getting pretty slick.  This is where we're not Peoria.  People still tailgate like MAD, there are no plows to plow anything but main highways and thoroughfares., so traveling is do-so-at-your-own-risk because others will we out that have no idea how to drive.  Also, it'll be 54 on Sunday.  Our snow may stay through tomorrow, but it'll mostly be gone on Friday, and definitely by Saturday.  Sad, squishy day.

I'm about to make a red velvet cake, tomorrow, for Valentine's Day.  I'm going to make a few cupcakes for us, and then a cake for Dusty's boss and something for another guy at his work that wants to buy it.  Whoa, my eyes just didn't want to open back up from that blink.  I've started knitting, and I've knitted my second thing now.  (These two things do relate, the eyes and the knitting.  Focusing on the knitting makes my eyes tired.)  It's just a washcloth using up the remainder of the yarn from Hannah's scarf, but I tried using a purl stitch instead of just a knit stitch.  I created a washcloth that should have two hearts at the top, then two intertwined rings, and then one heart at the bottom.  It should look like that, but I used variegated yarn, and I'm not good at knitting, so it doesn't really look that great.  I've never been an idiot before.  Pretty sure I'm an idiot at knitting.  Who knew knitting was hard?!?  I didn't!  I thought it would be a breeze, like cross-stitching. Nope.  No breeze.

Hmmm...I better make extra cakes for the kids to decorate.  Just thought about that.  They love decorating, and I let them each decorate a heart cake last year.  They loved it.  I need to do that again.  Note to self.

OH, tonight Hannah was playing on this bouncing toy that she and Seth each got for Christmas.  It's one of those hopper things where you hold the handle, put your legs out in front and jump and it bounces under you.  Well, these have a cover on them that makes them look like a dog.  These dogs are named Charky.  Apparently that's the dog's name that is Curious George's friend.  Seth named them.  Anyway, Hannah was bouncing and kind of rolled off of it.  Well, I said, "Charky!  Calm down!  Don't buck off Hannah!"  She smacked the dog on the mouth and said to me, "It's ok.  I smacked the snot out of him."  AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  (Sorry, Tricia)  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  I laughed so hard!  This is exactly what she was told to do by me and my father-in-law to his new dog, Booker.  Booker's a puppy, so he nips, and Tom told her to smack the snot out of him if he tries to bite her.  I'm glad he and I are in agreement in how to handle animals.  Gentle persuasion.  :)  Wonder where I learned that...The kids were also barking again tonight and having me pretend to throw water on them.  It still makes me laugh.  OK, that's your evening report.  And good night.

  1. HORRIBLE.

I am slightly appalled, but also I loled, soooo obviously I'm not a good enough animal advocate.
